Nestled in the heart of the Arctic Circle, Abisko is a small village with unparalleled natural beauty. Located in northern Sweden, it’s renowned for its exceptional conditions to witness the captivating Northern Lights, making it a dream destination for photographers and nature lovers alike.
Our base camp is strategically positioned to access some of the most stunning Arctic landscapes, with snowy mountain ranges, frozen lakes, and birch forest right at your doorstep. Abisko National Park, with its diverse wildlife and majestic scenery, offers the perfect setting for our snowmobile trips, snowshoeing adventures, and ice fishing excursions.
How to get here
Traveling to Abisko can be done with the night train from Stockholm, arriving easily in the middle of the village. There is also the option of taking the flight to Kiruna from Stockholm, and then onwards by bus (Visit Abisko) or taxi for the final segment of the journey to Abisko.
Renting a car is also a good option if you wish to have a more flexible travel option during your visit in the Abisko and arctic area. Regardless if you are planning to travel to Abisko with train, flight, bus, taxi or rental car, make sure you book it in advance to make sure there is still availability. Transportation to/from Abisko is limited and tend to become fully booked.
