From the moment you arrive in the Arctic landscapes surrounding Abisko, you will feel the calm of the North and the presence of an ancient living culture. After pickup from your accommodation in Abisko, we travel to the area where the herder lives and works with his reindeer. Upon arrival, the reindeer move freely around you, creating a respectful and authentic atmosphere. You will have the opportunity to feed the reindeer, observe their behaviour up close and capture unique photographs in a natural Arctic setting.

The heart of the experience takes place inside a traditional lavvu, where we gather in a warm and peaceful environment to enjoy hot drinks and light snacks. During this cosy moment, the Sámi herder shares personal stories about life as a reindeer herder, the rhythms of the seasons, migration routes and Sámi traditions that are still very much alive in northern Sweden.
